Lady Bucs Sign Lamar School Star Aryah Grace
Tuscaloosa- Shelton State women's basketball is excited to announce the signing of Aryah Grace.
"Aryah is one of the most versatile players that I have seen in quite some time," said head coach Madonna Thompson. "Her ability to play on the perimeter and down low coupled with her ability to guard 1-5 will allow us to use her in multiple ways." "Her aggressive play style at her size makes her a matchup problem for just about anyone."
Grace is set to graduate from the Lamar School in Merdian, MS where she was a two-time district MVP and posted over 2000 points in her career. Aryah was selected as MAIS All-Star and posted a 16 point-12 rebound double-double in the all-star game.
Aryah played AAU with the Alabama Southern Starz EYBL team, where she teamed up with future teammates Haley Trotter, Kaitlyn Gipson, and Caitlin Hall. Grace was ranked as number 3 overall player in the state of Mississippi by the Geeker Report alongside future Lady Bucs Caitlin Hall (#5) and Nadia Norfleet (#8).
We cannot wait to get Aryah in Tuscaloosa!
