Lady Bucs Ink Neshoba Central Star Kyli Truss
Shelton State Women's Basketball is thrilled to announce the signing of Kyli Truss.
Truss comes to Tuscaloosa following an illustrious high school career at Neshoba Central High School that included over 1500 points, a state championship, state runner-up finish, and multiple All-State selections.
Kyli led Neshoba to a Class 6A state championship in 2024, winning MVP honors as a sophomore and capped her senior season off as the 2026 Class 6A state runner-up. Following her sophomore season, Truss was named Class 6A-Region 2 defensive player of the year and won a class 6A state championship in the 1600m. As a junior, she was selected as a member of the North All-Star team.
Prior to her senior season, she was named a Clarion Ledger "Dandy Dozen" selection, marking her as one of the top twelve players in the state of Mississippi regardless of class or classification. Following her senior season, she was named first team Class 6A All-State and was selected to play in Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game.
"Kyli's game is electric," said head coach Madonna Thompson. "Her ability to put the ball in the basket at all three levels is truly impressive, but she is also an elite defender with an innate ability to anticipate." "Kyli is coming from one of the most impressive high school basketball programs I have ever been around, from coaching (Coach Jason Broom), competition, and overall support Neshoba Central is unmatched."
We are excited to get Kyli in Title Town!
