Bio
Leona Lafaele Frazier is set to enter her third season as the assistant coach for the Lady Bucs.
Prior to joining Shelton State, Frazier was a consistent contributor and starter as a student-athlete at The University of Alabama from 2013 until 2016. During her time with the Crimson Tide, Frazier garnered recognition as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-American, First Team All-South Region, Second Team All-SEC, and All-Defensive Team at first base. She also led the team with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs in her senior year.
Frazier brings experience from her three Women’s College World Series (WCWS) appearances to the Lady Bucs, including her distinction as a 2014 WCWS runner-up. In addition to time with the WCWS, Frazier also boasts four super regional appearances and four regional appearances.
Frazier graduated from The University of Alabama (UA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Human Environmental Sciences. Following her student-athlete career at UA, Frazier opened a softball training facility while running various softball clinics and camps. Frazier also coached local travel teams until 2021 where she coached alongside Vann Stuedeman at Tuscaloosa County High School.
