Bio
Leahrose Mami enters her first season with Shelton State cross country.
Before joining Shelton State, Mami competed in cross-country and track for the University of Alabama from 2018-2022. She made several SEC and regional teams and the national team her senior year. Afterward, Mami taught high school math and coached cross-country and track at Hale County High for two years.
A native of Cullman, Alabama, as a prep, Mami was a cross-country Junior Olympian and an individual all-state athlete 23 times, as well as a member of 2 state team championships and 3 state runner-up championships for St. Bernard Preparatory school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama in 2022.
