Steele, Dutton and Sullivan Named to All-ACCC Team
OXFORD – A trio of Shelton State players were named to the 2025 All-ACCC Baseball Team.
Sophomore right hander Mason Steele was a first team all-conference selection as a pitcher.
Sophomore centerfielder Pierce Dutton and freshman shortstop/third baseman Slade Sullivan were second team all-conference picks.
Steele has posted a 6-0 record and 2.26 ERA in 13 starts. He has worked a team-high 53 1/3 inning and allowed 18 runs (14 ER) and 34 hits with 62 strikeouts and 22 walks. In ACCC play, he was 5-0 with a 2.45 ERA in nine starts. Shelton State is 12-2 (.857) in 14 starts on the mound this season.
The Headland native recorded his sixth win of the season with six scoreless innings in the win over Northwest Shoals in the ACCC Tournament in Friday. He added a career-high nine strikeouts against Coastal South on April 20. He tossed five no-hit innings at Wallace State Hanceville on April 3. He faced the minimum with five shutouts innings against Chattahoochee Valley on March 13. Steele began ACCC play with 21 consecutive scoreless innings.
Dutton is hitting .343 (62-for-181) with 38 runs scored, 14 doubles, four triples and 37 RBI. He has 25 walks and 18 stolen bases. In 36 ACCC games, he batted .317 (38-for-120) with 21 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples and 20 RBIs.
The Spanish Fort native has a team-leading 20 multi-hit games this season. He ranks in the Top 10 in program history with 132 hits and 95 runs scored in his career.
Sullivan is the Bucs leading hitter with a .364 (53-for-143) with 30 runs scored, six doubles, one triple and 29 RBIs. He was the Bucs second-leading hitter in ACCC play with a .330 (32-for-97) average with 18 runs scored, five doubles and 20 RBIs.
The Mobile native is fourth on the team with 15 multi-hit games. He also posted a 19-game on-base streak from March 12-April 17.
