Bucs Hit Century Mark in Win Over Stillman JV
TUSCALOOSA - Shelton State Community College topped the century mark for the first time this season en route to a 105-78 win over the Stillman College JV team Thursday night.
Seven different players recorded season highs in points for Bucs against the Tigers.
Freshman King Larkin (Tuscaloosa) led the way with a season-high 16 points. He made seven of his nine field goal attempts in 17 minutes of action.
"I was focused and locked in tonight," King said. "I took the last couple of days at practice and tonight's game very serious. I was able to use my size to score against a smaller lineup."
Sophomore Bryant (B-Dot) Aijero had his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore Shah Hall (Tuscaloosa) had 11 points, TJ Pruitt (Huntsville) had 11 points and Wesley Roberson (Alabaster) added 10 points.
Freshmen Jonas Wilkin (Tuscaloosa) and Tyler Robertson (Fort Deposit) both logged season highs. Wilkin had five points and Robertson scored two.
Freshman Anderson Wilkin (Tuscaloosa) had nine points and three assists.
Sophomore Devin Bowers had six points and a career-high seven assists. His layup with 2:48 left in the game put the Bucs over the 100-point mark.
Shelton State (4-1) shot 59.4 percent from the field, including an astounding 72.9 percent (35-for-48) on 2-point field goals.
William Jackson (22) and Derryck Patton (20) both scored 20 points for the Tigers.
The Bucs return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15 against Hinds Community College at Noon
